Strengthening Ties Between Dhofar University and Industry for Practical Training

In line with Dhofar University’s dedication to graduating impactful members of society, Dr. Wesam Beitelmal, the Practical Training Coordinator of the College of Engineering convened with Mr. Hassan Al Mahri, the head of the Learning and Development Section at Nama Dhofar Services. This meeting, held on May 24th, 2023, encompassed several points to enhance and improve partnership, such as taking part in program reviews, supporting final-year projects, and evaluating the presentations and reports following the training. Mr. Hassan Al Mahri and Dr. Wesam Beitelmal expressed their optimism regarding the university’s pivotal role in bringing together training departments from various public and private companies in Dhofar. These meetings will foster brainstorming sessions to exchange ideas, thereby reinforcing the connection between academia and industry.
