Visiting Professors Conclude Successful Program at Dhofar University

As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration, Dhofar University recently hosted two distinguished professors from The Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague for an enriching 10 days of academic exchange, engagement, and exploration.The visit, which took place from April 4 to April 15, 2025, was organized by the International Cooperation Office (ICO) in collaboration with the College of Engineering and supported ERASMUS+ program. Throughout their stay, the visiting professors engaged in a wide range of academic activities, including lectures, lab tutorials, and collaborative meetings. Their schedule included a special meeting with Professor Amer AL Rawas, Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, as well as a fruitful discussion with Dr. Isam Bahdoor, Dean of the College of Engineering.

The professors delivered a four-part lecture series and 2 hands-on tutorials for civil engineering students, sharing their expertise and fostering dynamic classroom discussions. They also held a dedicated session with DU students, creating a valuable platform for academic dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.Beyond the classroom, the visit included a guided tour of Dhofar’s cultural and natural landmarks, organized in collaboration with the Public Relations Department, offering the guests a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage.This visit marks another step forward in Dhofar University’s mission to expand global academic networks and bring international perspectives to its students and faculty.
