The Organizing Committee of the Third International Forum on Frankincense and Medicinal Plants (IMFM 2025) convened today for a preparatory meeting, led by the Forum’s Chairman, Professor Louay Rashan. The session marked a key step in the preparations for the highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place from September 14 to 16, 2025, in a hybrid format—both in person and virtually—under the auspices of Dhofar University and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources.

Building upon the success of previous editions, the committee outlined a roadmap to advance scientific research, strengthen collaboration between international researchers and local stakeholders, and empower farmers and entrepreneurs.

Opening the meeting, Professor Louay Rashan underscored the forum’s significance, stating, “This is more than just an academic gathering—it is a bridge connecting our natural heritage to the future of sustainable pharmaceutical industries. By strengthening partnerships across sectors, we can transform research into practical solutions that enhance public health and stimulate economic growth.”The committee also reviewed the responsibilities of various forum subcommittees, defining roles and dividing tasks accordingly. A timeline was set for progress reviews and discussions on forthcoming milestones, ensuring a streamlined approach to organizing this landmark event.
