College of Engineering Laboratories & Frankincense Biodiversity Lab Obtain ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that the Engineering laboratories of the College of Engineering, along with the Frankincense and Biodiversity laboratories at the Engineering Workshop, have successfully achieved ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. ISO 9001:2015 is a widely acknowledged global standard for quality management systems, placing significant emphasis on process efficiency and the delivery of appropriate services to students and faculty.

This accreditation brings numerous advantages, beginning with a focus on enhancing student satisfaction and promoting continuous improvement. It also entails streamlining processes through a systematic approach, minimizing errors, and increasing productivity. This fosters a culture of continual development, supported by a framework for monitoring and evaluating key indicators, including data analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.

Following a comprehensive audit conducted on May 17th, 2023, the Engineering, Frankincense, and Biodiversity labs have been found to meet the rigorous requirements outlined in ISO 9001:2015. This accomplishment ensures that the labs adhere to the highest quality standards in all their operations.

With ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, Dhofar University joins the esteemed group of organizations that have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to quality on a global scale.
