Dhofar University Board of Trustees Meets

Chaired by his Excellency, Yousif bin Alawi Al Ibrahim (Retired Minister), Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), the Board held its first ordinary meeting for the Academic Year 2025-2026 on Sunday, 09 Jumada al-Akhirah 1447 H, corresponding to November 30, 2025, and after deliberations of the scheduled agenda, it took appropriate decisions accordingly.

1. The Board received a virtual update by a representative of Al-Hashimi Engineering Consultancy Office on the University’s projects, including the College of Medicine building, the Preparatory Studies Center building, classrooms, and the female student hostel building. The Board discussed the progress made in designing the maps and preparatory work for the University’s projects. The Board expressed its satisfaction with what had been accomplished in the previous phase.
2. The Board also received update on the items in the agenda, including Dhofar University’s participation in the National Program for Higher Studies (Masar Watan) and the positive outcomes achieved by the University through the training of Omanis who applied for academic training within this program.
