Dhofar University Explores Cooperation with Salalah Mills Group

Dhofar University Vice Chancellor, Professor Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, received Engineer Ali bin Bakhit Kashoob, Chief Executive Officer of Salalah Mills Group, along with his accompanying delegation, at his office. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between national institutions that contribute to development initiatives in the Sultanate of Oman.

The session included an overview of Dhofar University, its colleges, diverse academic programmes, and its academic standing at regional and international levels. Professor Al Rawas highlighted the University’s educational and research services, as well as its community contributions that support national development.

Eng. Kashoob presented the history and operations of Salalah Mills Group, outlining its expanding development projects and its pivotal role in strengthening food security and promoting local value addition.

Both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation and joint coordination, particularly in research and development. They explored opportunities to leverage the capabilities of both institutions to achieve shared development goals and support key sectors across the Sultanate.
