Dhofar University Participates in Symposium on Educational Specializations

Dhofar University participated in the symposium on educational specializations’ outcomes and strategic implications for education and quality of outcomes. The symposium was held in Muscat under the auspices of Dr. Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, and lasted for two days.Dhofar University’s pavilion featured visual presentations and leaflets about the University and its educational programs, providing visitors with a better understanding of its contribution to educational development. The University’s representative, Omar bin Mohammad Ratna, also provided a briefing about Dhofar University’s educational programs.The opening ceremony of the symposium witnessed the screening of a documentary entitled “The Omani Teacher’s Renewed Contributions” which reviewed the progress achieved in preparing Omani teachers since the beginning of the blessed renaissance. The documentary screening was followed by several events, most notably the presentation of fifteen papers that investigated relevant topics.The symposium targeted over 350 participants from the education sector and teacher preparation programs in governmental bodies, including Omani academics from private and public universities, experts from the State’s Council and the Shura Council, as well as school headmasters, teachers, and educational supervisors.
